This course will first look at the various legal business structures and the commercial contract law that
underlies all business transactions. The focus will be on the corporation and the Companies Act. Taxation
and its implications and impact on the corporation will be covered as will the accounting treatment for
Having understood the fundamentals of accounting and how to interpret financial statements through
the use of financial ratios in B1, this TP8001 course challenges participants to apply the theory learned
in B1 to actual situations with a focus on listed company financial statements.
Finally, the course will look at costing strategies, cost budgeting management, and control, standard
costing and variance analysis, and their accounting treatment.
